Cassel colleagues raise over £3,000 for CHCT

Three staff members from the Cassel Hospital (Linda (Service Manager), Paul (Psychosocial Nurse) and Chloe (Research Assistant)) took part in the Richmond Half Marathon on September 17th to raise money and awareness for the Hospital’s Charitable Trust.

The team smashed their target and successfully raised over £3,000 for the CHCT.

The Hospital has recently received a generous donation of a beautiful sanctuary garden designed by Tom Massey which will be planted in the Hospital grounds. The fundraising money raised will go towards the installation and planting of the garden as well as various other projects at the Hospital and in the wider mental health and social care community.

Linda said: “Over the years, people have generously donated so much to the Trust and running the Richmond Half Marathon was something that we wanted to do in recognition of their generosity. It has been a great opportunity to raise further funds to help the Trust continue its important work in promoting the effective care and treatment for people with personality disorder and complex trauma.”

There is still time to sponsor the team by visiting their fundraising page.
